Our first taste of what was to come at this year's
Sydney Writers' Festival came with an invitation to the launch of the festival's Western Sydney program at
Female Orphan School, University of Western City - Parramatta campus. Artistic Director,
Jemma Birrell announced some of the festival highlights scheduled for Western Sydney, including events by
Christos Tsiolkas, Dav Pilkey, Alexis Wright and
Alive Walker at Riverside Theatre, Parramatta.

As part of the program,
Ryde Library hosted two events by best-selling authors, David Hunt and journalist Paul Barry. Both nights,
Your Bookshop was there as the bookseller for the events.

The Writers' Festival is always an exciting time for book lovers. This year was no different with 300 events and 400 participants merging for a week of writing and ideas that left us inspired, entertained and connected.
